Airbrush New England’s parent company, Kaleidoscope Artistic Entertainment, was founded in 2013 by three friends who brought together their three unique backgrounds in arts and event planning.

Jessica decided when she was four that she wanted to be a performer after seeing Gwen Stefani in a No Doubt music video.

By middle school her mother enrolled her in voice lessons. By high school she was performing in community theatre and in the high school drama club. By the time she was done with college she was singing at weddings in live bands and soon after began working as a princess party performer. She went to AMDA for Performing Arts.

She’s now our lead event planner.

Marissa decided in kindergarten that art was her favorite class and she was going to become an artist.

As determined as she is creative, she got her first job at a tie-dye t-shirt factory in Middletown CT at the age of 15 working under the table. By 16 she was a freelance graphic designer, and by 20 she was working as a face painter in theme parks. She went to CCSU for Fine Art.

She’s now is our lead airbrush apparel artist.

Kenny realized he loved to make people laugh as a toddler.

He explored his passions for entertainment through every medium he could in middle school and high school as a musician, football player, and clown. By the time he was 14 he was getting paid to entertain as a clown and magician events. He went to CCSU for Fine Art.

He’s now our lead event entertainer.

Kaleidoscope’s Story

Marissa and Jess met in elementary school when Jess moved into the neighborhood Marissa had been living with. They had similar interests (playing mermaids in the pool; petting any cat they could find) and have been inseparable ever since.

Marissa and Kenny met in college when they both joined the Art Club. They also had similar interests (going to concerts; petting any dog they could find) and after they graduated helped each other get several jobs in graphic design and art education. They have also been inseparable ever since.

By the time they were adults, all three of the friends had found their ways into event entertainment through their own careers–Jess as a wedding singer, Marissa as a face and body painter, and Kenny as a balloon twister and clown.

But after working for traditional agencies, we all noticed the same problem with all traditional entertainment agencies: those coordinating the talent often came from a strict business background and had no art experience themselves. This lead to worse produts, higher contractor turn over, and an over all worse experience for the (often over-charged) client.

So in 2013, Marissa, Jess, and Kenny joined forces to create Kaleidoscope, an artist-own agency with the goal of providing the highest quality creative talent possible and the best guest experience at events.

Kaleidoscope is now New England’s largest event entertainment company.
